Rabbit anti-Human KTN1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-KTN1 antibody
KTN1 Polyclonal Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an integral membrane protein that is a member of the kinectin protein family. The encoded protein is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. This protein binds kinesin and may be involved in intracellular organelle motility. This protein also binds translation elongation factor-delta and may be involved in the assembly of the elongation factor-1 complex. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]
Uniprot Description
KTN1: Receptor for kinesin thus involved in kinesin-driven vesicle motility. Accumulates in integrin-based adhesion complexes (IAC) upon integrin aggregation by fibronectin. Parallel homodimers formed between the membrane-bound and the cytosolic form, and also between 2 cytosolic forms. High levels in peripheral blood lymphocytes, testis and ovary, lower levels in spleen, thymus, prostate, small intestine and colon. Belongs to the kinectin family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q22.1
Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum; endoplasmic reticulum membrane; integral to membrane; integral to plasma membrane; membrane

Product Notes
The KTN1 ktn1 (Catalog #AAA2540009) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KTN1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KTN1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 1:500 - 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KTN1 ktn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KTN1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
