NCBI Description

INTS3 is a subunit of the Integrator complex, which associates with the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II large subunit (POLR2A; MIM 180660) and mediates 3-prime end processing of small nuclear RNAs U1 (RNU1; MIM 180680) and U2 (RNU2; MIM 180690) (Baillat et al., 2005 [PubMed 16239144]). INTS3 is also a subunit of single-stranded DNA (ssDNA)-binding complexes involved in the maintenance of genome stability (Huang et al., 2009) [PubMed 19683501].[supplied by OMIM, Feb 2010]

Uniprot Description

INTS3: Component of the Integrator complex. The Integrator complex is involved in the small nuclear RNAs (snRNA) U1 and U2 transcription and in their 3'-box-dependent processing. The Integrator complex is associated with the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II largest subunit (POLR2A) and is recruited to the U1 and U2 snRNAs genes. Belongs to the Integrator subunit 3 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21.3

Cellular Component: nucleus; integrator complex

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: mitotic cell cycle checkpoint; snRNA processing; response to ionizing radiation; DNA repair; response to DNA damage stimulus

Product Notes

The INTS3 ints3 (Catalog #AAA2519586) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The INTS3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's INTS3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:5000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the INTS3 ints3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "INTS3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
