Related Product Information for RIPK2 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rabbit RIPK2 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to RIPK2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for RIPK2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain RIPK2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of RIPK2. You can calculate the concentration of RIPK2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the receptor-interacting protein (RIP) family of serine/threonine protein kinases. The encoded protein contains a C-terminal caspase activation and recruitment domain (CARD), and is a component of signaling complexes in both the innate and adaptive immune pathways. It is a potent activator of NF-kappaB and inducer of apoptosis in response to various stimuli. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

RIPK2: a tyrosine kinase-like kinase of the RIPK family. Activates pro-caspase-1 and pro-caspase-8. Potentiates casp-8-mediated apoptosis. May activate NF-kappaB.

Product Notes

The Rabbit RIPK2 ripk2 (Catalog #AAA2512928) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2512928 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit RIPK2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RIPK2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
