NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the DEAD box protein family. These proteins are characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) and are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of the DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene is thought to play a role in the prognosis of patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors. A pseudogene of this gene is present on chromosome 13. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Additional alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known. Product Notes

The DDX39A ddx39a (Catalog #AAA248521) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human DDX39 / BAT1 reacts with Human, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DDX39 / BAT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB). ICC (1:100 - 1:1000), IHC-P (10 ug/ml), WB (1:500 - 1:3000) Usage: IHC-paraffin: Suggested antigen retrieval using heat mediated 10 mM Citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDX39A ddx39a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDX39 / BAT1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
