Related Product Information for anti-ADORA2B antibody
The A2b Adenosine Receptor is a target of theophylline and enprofylline in the treatment of asthma. In lung mast cells, A2b receptors are associated with the release of inflammatory mediators. They can also bind the axonal chemoattractant netrin-1 (Corset et al., 2000). Netrin-1-dependent outgrowth of axons in the dorsal spinal cord directly involves the adenosine A2b receptor and may involve a receptor complex containing the DCC (deleted in colorectal cancer) protein and adenosine A2b receptor.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an adenosine receptor that is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. This integral membrane protein stimulates adenylate cyclase activity in the presence of adenosine. This protein also interacts with netrin-1, which is involved in axon elongation. The gene is located near the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ADORA2B: Receptor for adenosine. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p12

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: adenosine receptor activity, G-protein coupled

Biological Process: relaxation of vascular smooth muscle; activation of MAPK activity; adenylate cyclase activation; positive regulation of interleukin-6 production; positive regulation of mast cell degranulation; positive regulation of guanylate cyclase activity; excretion; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase activating pathway; positive regulation of chemokine production; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; positive regulation of chronic inflammatory response to non-antigenic stimulus; cellular response to extracellular stimulus; cellular defense response; JNK cascade; adenosine receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes

The ADORA2B adora2b (Catalog #AAA244415) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human ADORA2B/Adenosine A2B Receptor reacts with Gibbon, Gorilla, Human Predicted Reactivity: Monkey, Horse (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ADORA2B/Adenosine A2B Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (10 ug/ml) Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after proteinase K antigen retrieval. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubate.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADORA2B adora2b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADORA2B/Adenosine A2B Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
