Related Product Information for anti-HRH1 antibody
The H1 Histamine Receptor (HRH1) has been implicated in the inflammatory cascade and allergic response. It is expressed by some inflammatory cells and by vascular smooth muscle as well as smooth muscle of other organs. Activation of HRH1 expressed in the central nervous system has been shown to regulate the release of neurotransmitters and hormones. H1 receptors modulate a variety of physiological functions including arousal, anxiety, nociception, learning, and food and water intake.

NCBI Description

Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. It mediates the contraction of smooth muscles, the increase in capillary permeability due to contraction of terminal venules, the release of catecholamine from adrenal medulla, and neurotransmission in the central nervous system. It has been associated with multiple processes, including memory and learning, circadian rhythm, and thermoregulation. It is also known to contribute to the pathophysiology of allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, anaphylaxis and allergic rhinitis. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2015]

Uniprot Description

H1R: In peripheral tissues, the H1 subclass of histamine receptors mediates the contraction of smooth muscles, increase in capillary permeability due to contraction of terminal venules, and catecholamine release from adrenal medulla, as well as mediating neurotransmission in the central nervous system. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes

The HRH1 hrh1 (Catalog #AAA243173) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human HRH1 / Histamine H1 Receptor reacts with Gibbon, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Human Predicted Reactivity: Monkey (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HRH1 / Histamine H1 Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (11 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HRH1 hrh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HRH1 / Histamine H1 Receptor, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
