Canine Albumin ELISA Kit | ALB elisa kit

Canine Albumin ELISA Kit

Gene Names
ALB; PRO0883; PRO0903; PRO1341
Reactivity
Canine
Synonyms
Albumin; Canine Albumin ELISA Kit; ALB elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Canine
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Canine ALB and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
3.12-100mg/ml.
Sensitivity
1.0mg/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated ALB concentrations in Canine serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Canine ALB antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add ALB and ALB antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of ALB in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. Albumin functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular unglycosylated serum protein of molecular weight 65,000. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce the secreted albumin. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

albumin: Serum albumin, the main protein of plasma, has a good binding capacity for water, Ca(2+), Na(+), K(+), fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. Major zinc transporter in plasma, typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc. Plasma. Belongs to the ALB/AFP/VDB family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Canine ALB alb (Catalog #AAA023206) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA023206 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine ALB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Albumin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
