Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

Related Product Information for anti-CXCL7 antibody
Mouse anti Human CXCL7 antibody, clone C11-5G10, recognizes C-X-C motif chemokine 7 (CXCL7), also known as Platelet Basic Protein, a platelet derived growth factor belonging to the C-X-C subfamily of chemokines. Expression of CXCL7 is largely restricted to platelets where it is produced as an inactive precursor. Upon tissue injury or infection, CXCL7 is one of the first chemokines to appear at the focal sites to mediate neutrophil recruitment after it has been modified by a series of cleavage and activation steps. CXCL7 mediates neutrophil recruitment through binding of its receptors CXCR1 or CXCR2.

CXCL7 has been noted as playing important roles in tumorigenesis and has been associated with the proliferation and metastasis of a range of tumor types (Brown et al. 2017). As such, there have been a range of studies performed testing the use of serum CXCL7 as a test biomarker in colorectal cancer, lung cancer and renal cell carcinoma samples (Li et al. 2019, Kinouchi et al. 2017, Du et al. 2018). These studies have suggested that serum CXCL7 may be a sensitive and specific biomarker for the identification of these cancer types.

The purified Mouse anti Human CXCL7 antibody, clone C11-5G10 can be used as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the biotinylated Mouse anti Human CXCL7 antibody, clone C06-4A3 as the detection antibody.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a platelet-derived growth factor that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This growth factor is a potent chemoattractant and activator of neutrophils. It has been shown to stimulate various cellular processes including DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and synthesis of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also stimulates the formation and secretion of plasminogen activator by synovial cells. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

PPBP: LA-PF4 stimulates DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and synthesis of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also stimulates the formation and secretion of plasminogen activator by human synovial cells. NAP-2 is a ligand for CXCR1 and CXCR2, and NAP-2, NAP-2(73), NAP-2(74), NAP-2(1-66), and most potent NAP-2(1-63) are chemoattractants and activators for neutrophils. TC-1 and TC-2 are antibacterial proteins, in vitro released from activated platelet alpha-granules. CTAP-III(1-81) is more potent than CTAP-III desensitize chemokine-induced neutrophil activation. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Product Notes

The CXCL7 ppbp (Catalog #AAA226139) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human CXCL7 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CXCL7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CXCL7 ppbp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CXCL7, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
