Reconstitution
Reconstitute with 0.2ml distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. MyBioSource recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended. N.B. For functional studies do not add sodium azide
Perservative Stabilisers
Immunogen
Normal human T lymphocytes
Fusion Partners
Target Species
Human
Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. After reconstitution store at -20 degree C. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.
Related Product Information for anti-CD8 BETA antibody
Mouse anti Human CD8 beta antibody, clone 2ST8.5H7 recognizes the human CD8 cell surface antigen. The antibody binds to the beta chain, recognising an epitope that is dependent upon expression of both CD8 alpha and CD8 beta. CD8 molecules are composed of dimers of either alpha/alpha or alpha/beta polypeptide combinations. Both types of dimer may co-exist at the cell surface.

NCBI Description

The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8 antigen, acting as a coreceptor, and the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognize antigens displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules. The functional coreceptor is either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains. This gene encodes the CD8 beta chain isoforms. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct membrane associated or secreted isoforms have been described. A pseudogene, also located on chromosome 2, has been identified. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

CD8B: Identifies cytotoxic/suppressor T-cells that interact with MHC class I bearing targets. CD8 is thought to play a role in the process of T-cell mediated killing. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CD8 BETA cd8b (Catalog #AAA212276) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MOUSE ANTI HUMAN CD8 BETA reacts with Cynomolgus monkey, Rhesus Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD8 BETA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: Neat; Maximum Dilution: 1/10. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD8 BETA cd8b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD8 BETA, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
