Cytoskeleton Associated Protein 2 Recombinant Protein | CKAP2 recombinant protein
Recombinant Cytoskeleton Associated Protein 2 (CKAP2)
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss of this protein is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a cytoskeleton-associated protein that stabalizes microtubules and plays a role in the regulation of cell division. The encoded protein is itself regulated through phosphorylation at multiple serine and threonine residues. There is a pseudogene of this gene on chromosome 14. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variations. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013]
Uniprot Description
CKAP2: Possesses microtubule stabilizing properties. Involved in regulating aneuploidy, cell cycling, and cell death in a p53/TP53-dependent manner. Belongs to the CKAP2 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Cell cycle regulation
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q14
Cellular Component: centrosome; cytoplasm; cytoplasmic microtubule; microtubule cytoskeleton; spindle pole
Biological Process: apoptosis; cytokinesis after mitosis; negative regulation of microtubule depolymerization; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Product Notes
The CKAP2 ckap2 (Catalog #AAA2034320) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Cytoskeleton Associated Protein 2 (CKAP2) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cytoskeleton Associated Protein 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CKAP2 ckap2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cytoskeleton Associated Protein 2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
