Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the leucine-rich repeat-containing subgroup of the G protein-coupled 7-transmembrane receptor superfamily. The encoded protein plays a critical role in sperm motility, pregnancy and parturition as a receptor for the protein hormone relaxin. Decreased expression of this gene may play a role in endometriosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Uniprot Description
RXFP1: Receptor for relaxins. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins leading to stimulation of adenylate cyclase and an increase of cAMP. Binding of the ligand may also activate a tyrosine kinase pathway that inhibits the activity of a phosphodiesterase that degrades cAMP. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q32.1
Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; protein binding; metal ion binding
Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway
