Rabbit Profilin 2 (PFN2) Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PFN2 antibody
Polyclonal Antibody to Profilin 2 (PFN2)
Immunohistochemistry: 5-30ug/mL
Immunocytochemistry: 5-30ug/mL
Optimal w orking dilutions must be determined by end user.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 24 months.
Stability Test:
thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a ubiquitous actin monomer-binding protein belonging to the profilin family. It is thought to regulate actin polymerization in response to extracellular signals. There are two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
profilin 2: Binds to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. At high concentrations, profilin prevents the polymerization of actin, whereas it enhances it at low concentrations. By binding to PIP2, it inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG. Belongs to the profilin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Actin-binding; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q25.1
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytoskeleton; extracellular exosome; terminal bouton
Molecular Function: actin monomer binding; ATPase activity; phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate binding; protein binding
Biological Process: actin cytoskeleton organization; negative regulation of actin filament polymerization; negative regulation of epithelial cell migration; negative regulation of ruffle assembly; positive regulation of actin filament bundle assembly; positive regulation of actin filament polymerization; positive regulation of ATPase activity; positive regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; positive regulation of stress fiber formation; protein stabilization; regulation of synaptic vesicle exocytosis

Product Notes
The PFN2 pfn2 (Catalog #AAA2004654) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Profilin 2 (PFN2) reacts with Homo sapiens (Human) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Profilin 2 (PFN2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) - Formalin/Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western blotting: 0.5-3ug/mL Immunohistochemistry: 5-30ug/mL Immunocytochemistry: 5-30ug/mL Optimal w orking dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PFN2 pfn2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Profilin 2 (PFN2), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
