NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
LRRFIP1: Transcriptional repressor which preferentially binds to the GC-rich consensus sequence (5'-AGCCCCCGGCG-3') and may regulate expression of TNF, EGFR and PDGFA. May control smooth muscle cells proliferation following artery injury through PDGFA repression. May also bind double-stranded RNA. Positively regulates Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling in response to agonist probably by competing with the negative FLII regulator for MYD88-binding. Belongs to the LRRFIP family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; RNA-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q37.3
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytoskeleton; cytosol; nucleus; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: cadherin binding; DNA binding; double-stranded RNA binding; protein binding; protein homodimerization activity
Biological Process: negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of interferon type I production; regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; transcription, DNA-dependent

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Leucine Rich Repeat In FLII Interacting Protein 1 (LRRFIP1), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
