Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse E2F3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-E2F3 antibody
Anti-E2F3 antibody
Background: Transcription factor E2F3, also known as KIAA0075, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the E2F3 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the E2F family of transcription factors. By fluorescence in situ hybridization, E2F3 gene is mapped to 6q22.3. The induction of specific E2F activities is an essential component in the MYC pathways that control cell proliferation and cell fate decisions. This gene encodes a member of a small family of transcription factors that function through binding of DP interaction partner proteins. The encoded protein recognizes a specific sequence motif in DNA and interacts directly with the retinoblastoma protein(pRB) to regulate the expression of genes involved in the cell cycle.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of a small family of transcription factors that function through binding of DP interaction partner proteins. The encoded protein recognizes a specific sequence motif in DNA and interacts directly with the retinoblastoma protein (pRB) to regulate the expression of genes involved in the cell cycle. Altered copy number and activity of this gene have been observed in a number of human cancers. There are pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 2 and 17. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]
Uniprot Description
E2F3: Transcription activator that binds DNA cooperatively with DP proteins through the E2 recognition site, 5'-TTTC[CG]CGC- 3' found in the promoter region of a number of genes whose products are involved in cell cycle regulation or in DNA replication. The DRTF1/E2F complex functions in the control of cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. E2F3 binds specifically to RB1 in a cell-cycle dependent manner. Belongs to the E2F/DP family.

Product Notes
The E2F3 e2f3 (Catalog #AAA176184) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-E2F3 antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's E2F3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the E2F3 e2f3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "E2F3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
