Related Product Information for anti-DGKZ antibody
Diacylglycerol kinase zeta is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DGKZ gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It may attenuate protein kinase C activity by regulating diacylglycerol levels in intracellular signaling cascade and signal transduction. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.

Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

DGKZ: Displays a strong preference for 1,2-diacylglycerols over 1,3-diacylglycerols, but lacks substrate specificity among molecular species of long chain diacylglycerols. Isoform 2 but not isoform 1 regulates RASGRP1 activity. Belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The DGKZ dgkz (Catalog #AAA1753738) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-DGKZ/DGK-zeta Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DGKZ/DGK-zeta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS/FCM), Direct ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.25-0.5ug/ml|Human, Mouse, Rat| IHC-P: 2-5ug/ml|Human, Mouse| FC/FACS/FCM: 1-3ug/1x106 cells|Human| Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml|Human|. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DGKZ dgkz for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DGKZ/DGK-zeta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
