Related Product Information for anti-Cd34 antibody
CD34 is a monomeric cell surface antigen with a molecular mass of approximately 110 KD. CD34 is expressed in humans in hematopoietic stem cells, vascular endothelium, and blasts from 30% of patients with acute myeloid and lymphocytic leukemia. The human CD34 gene spans 26 kb and has 8 exons, a structure quite similar to that of the murine gene. By Southern blot analysis of DNA from a panel of human x mouse somatic cell hybrids using a CD34 cDNA probe demonstrate that the gene for CD34 is located on human chromosome 1 in the 1q12----qter region. CD34 plays an important role in the formation of progenitor cells during both embryonic and adult hematopoiesis.

Uniprot Description

CD34: Possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins. Selectively expressed on hematopoietic progenitor cells and the small vessel endothelium of a variety of tissues. Belongs to the CD34 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Cd34 cd34 (Catalog #AAA1753378) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CD34 Antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD34 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Direct ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.25-0.5ug/ml|Mouse, Rat| IHC-P: 2-5ug/ml|Mouse, Rat| Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml|Rat|. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cd34 cd34 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD34, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
