Related Product Information for ANG elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Human Androstenedione(also known as ASD) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human ASD antibody. ASD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ASD Antibody is added and binds to ASD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ASD antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ASD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the motin family of angiostatin binding proteins characterized by conserved coiled-coil domains and C-terminal PDZ binding motifs. The encoded protein is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells of capillaries as well as larger vessels of the placenta where it may mediate the inhibitory effect of angiostatin on tube formation and the migration of endothelial cells toward growth factors during the formation of new blood vessels. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Plays a central role in tight junction maintenance via the complex formed with ARHGAP17, which acts by regulating the uptake of polarity proteins at tight junctions. Appears to regulate endothelial cell migration and tube formation. May also play a role in the assembly of endothelial cell-cell junctions.

Product Notes

The Human ANG amot (Catalog #AAA162742) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA162742 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ANG. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "angiostatin, ANG, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
