Related Product Information for anti-CHORDC1 antibody
CHORDC1 Antibody: The cysteine and histidine-rich domain (CHORD)-containing protein (CHORDC1) is a member of a highly conserved protein family that contains the plant protein RAR1 and the mammalian protein melusin. In mammals, CHORDC1 is an ADP-dependent HSP90-interacting protein, and this interaction is dependent on the ability of HSP90 to bind nucleotides. Recent experiments indicate that CHORDC1 mRNA is diurnally regulated in mouse hypothalamus, and that this regulation alters during development, suggesting that CHORDC1 may play a role in circadian mechanisms in the mammalian brain.

Uniprot Description

CHORDC1: Regulates centrosome duplication, probably by inhibiting the kinase activity of ROCK2. Proposed to act as co-chaperone for HSP90. May play a role in the regulation of NOD1 via a HSP90 chaperone complex. In vitro, has intrinsic chaperone activity. This function may be achieved by inhibiting association of ROCK2 with NPM1. Involved in stress response. Prevents tumorigenesis. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Calcium-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q14.3

Molecular Function: protein binding; zinc ion binding; Hsp90 protein binding

Product Notes

The CHORDC1 chordc1 (Catalog #AAA150533) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CHORDC1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CHORDC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). CHORDC1 antibody can be used for detection of CHORDC1 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunocytochemistry starting at 2.5 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHORDC1 chordc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CHORDC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
