Related Product Information for CD79A recombinant protein
Description: CD79A Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 119 amino acids (33-143a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 13.6kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 18-28kDa). CD79A is expressed with a 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Introduction: CD79A is a signal-transducing part of the B-cell receptor which plays various roles in B cell development and function. CD79A is also needed for BCR surface expression and for efficient differentiation of pro-B and pre-B-cells. CD79A plays an important role in the tumor promoting effects of myeloid cells, and is a novel target for cancer therapy.

NCBI Description

The B lymphocyte antigen receptor is a multimeric complex that includes the antigen-specific component, surface immunoglobulin (Ig). Surface Ig non-covalently associates with two other proteins, Ig-alpha and Ig-beta, which are necessary for expression and function of the B-cell antigen receptor. This gene encodes the Ig-alpha protein of the B-cell antigen component. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Required in cooperation with CD79B for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by binding of antigen to the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR) which leads to internalization of the complex, trafficking to late endosomes and antigen presentation. Also required for BCR surface expression and for efficient differentiation of pro- and pre-B-cells. Stimulates SYK autophosphorylation and activation. Binds to BLNK, bringing BLNK into proximity with SYK and allowing SYK to phosphorylate BLNK. Also interacts with and increases activity of some Src-family tyrosine kinases. Represses BCR signaling during development of immature B-cells.

Product Notes

The CD79A cd79a (Catalog #AAA147257) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9, Insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: LWMHKVPASL MVSLGEDAHF QCPHNSSNNA NVTWWRVLHG NYTWPPEFLG PGEDPNGTLI IQNVNKSHGG IYVCRVQEGN ESYQQSCGTY LRVRQPPPRP FLDMGEGTKN RLEHHHHHH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD79A, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
