Disulfide Isomerase A3 Active Protein | PDIA3 active protein
Recombinant Human Protein Disulfide Isomerase A3, Active
The PDIA3 protein solution contains 20mM Tris-HCl, pH-8, 1mM DTT, 0.1M NaCl and 10% glycerol.
Introduction: PDIA3 is an enzyme that belongs to the endoplasmic reticulum and interacts with lectin chaperones calreticulin and calnexin to modulate folding of newly synthesized glycoproteins. PDIA3 has protein disulfide isomerase activity. Complexes of lectins and PDIA3 mediate protein folding by promoting formation of disulfide bonds in their glycoprotein substrates. PDIA3 is expressed in the lumbar spinal cord from rats submitted to peripheral lesion during neonatal period. PDIA3 interacts with thiazide-sensitive sodium-chloride cotransporter in the kidney and is induced by glucose deprivation. PDIA3 is part of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I peptide-loading complex (TAP1), which is important for formation of the final antigen conformation and export from the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell surface.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein of the endoplasmic reticulum that interacts with lectin chaperones calreticulin and calnexin to modulate folding of newly synthesized glycoproteins. The protein was once thought to be a phospholipase; however, it has been demonstrated that the protein actually has protein disulfide isomerase activity. It is thought that complexes of lectins and this protein mediate protein folding by promoting formation of disulfide bonds in their glycoprotein substrates. This protein also functions as a molecular chaperone that prevents the formation of protein aggregates. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]
Uniprot Description
GRP58: a protein disulfide isomerase found in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. Catalyzes the rearrangement of both intrachain and interchain disulfide bonds in proteins to form the native structures. An essential component of the peptide-loading complex of the major histocompatibility complex class I pathway.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Disulfide Isomerase A3, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
