Related Product Information for GIPC1 recombinant protein
Description: GIPC1 Recombinant Human produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 353 amino acids (1-333 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 38.2kDa. The GIPC1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: GIPC1 is a PDZ domain protein that cooperates with RGS-GAIP and the viral oncoprotein TAX, which transactivates viral and cellular promoters throughout interactions with different transcription factors. GIPC1 particularly localizes to clusters of vesicles close to the plasma membrane and takes part in G protein-coupled signaling pathway participating in regulating Clathrin-coated vesicular trafficking. GIPC1 cooperates with membrane bound Semaphorin F, which is takes part in neuronal axon growth, and controls the subcellular distribution of M-SemF in the brain.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GIPC PDZ Domain Member 1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
