Uniprot Description

Non-catalytic subunit of the NatB N-terminal acetyltransferase, which catalyzes acetylation of the amino-terminal methionine residues of all proteins beginning with Met-Asp or Met-Glu and of some proteins beginning with Met-Asn or Met-Met. NatB acetylates TPM1 protein and regulates tropomyocin-actin interactions. MDM20 is required for mitochondrial inheritance during budding and together with TPM1, is essential for the integrity and assembly of actin cables. Genetically interacts with CIN8.

Product Notes

The MDM20 mdm20 (Catalog #AAA1390719) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli or Yeast or Baculovirus or Mammalian Cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "N-terminal acetyltransferase B complex subunit MDM20 (MDM20), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
