NCBI Description

This gene is predicted to encode a protein with a DWD motif. It can bind to DDB1a in Y2H assays, and DDB1b in co-IP assays, and may be involved in the formation of a CUL4-based E3 ubiquitin ligase. Encodes a component of the putative Arabidopsis THO/TREX complex: THO1 or HPR1 (At5g09860), THO2 (At1g24706), THO3 or TEX1 (At5g56130), THO5 (At5g42920, At1g45233), THO6 (At2g19430), and THO7 (At5g16790, At3g02950). THO/TREX complexes in animals have been implicated in the transport of mRNA precursors. Mutants of THO3/TEX1, THO1, THO6 accumulate reduced amount of small interfering (si)RNA, suggesting a role of the putative Arabidopsis THO/TREX in siRNA biosynthesis.

Uniprot Description

Acts as component of the THO subcomplex of the TREX complex which is thought to couple mRNA transcription, processing and nuclear export.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WD repeat-containing protein DWA1 (DWA1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
