Reactivity
Mouse
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse FNDC5 and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
2386
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
31.2 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml.
Sensitivity
5.0 pg/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated FNDC5 concentrations in Mouse serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Mouse FNDC5 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add FNDC5 and FNDC5 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of FNDC5 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene encodes fibronectin, a glycoprotein present in a soluble dimeric form in plasma, and in a dimeric or multimeric form at the cell surface and in extracellular matrix. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. The gene has three regions subject to alternative splicing, with the potential to produce 20 different transcript variants. However, the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FN1: Fibronectins bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in FN1 are the cause of glomerulopathy with fibronectin deposits type 2 (GFND2); also known as familial glomerular nephritis with fibronectin deposits or fibronectin glomerulopathy. GFND is a genetically heterogeneous autosomal dominant disorder characterized clinically by proteinuria, microscopic hematuria, and hypertension that leads to end-stage renal failure in the second to fifth decade of life. 15 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Mouse FNDC5 fn1 (Catalog #AAA107547) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA107547 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse FNDC5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing Protein 5, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
