Hydrogenase-4 transcriptional activator (hyfR) Recombinant Protein | hyfR recombinant protein
Recombinant Escherichia coli Hydrogenase-4 transcriptional activator (hyfR)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
HyfR , "hydrogenase four regulator," controls the expression of genes responsible for the proton-translocating formate hydrogenase system and for formate transport under anaerobiosis, low pH, and post-exponential growth conditions . [More information is available at EcoCyc: G7308].
Uniprot Description
A transcriptional activator of its own operon; when overexpressed operon expression is strongly enhanced by low pH (under pH 6.0), strongly inhibited by O2 but only weakly stimulated by fumarate (PubMed:12426353, PubMed:14702328). Expression in situ is very weak (PubMed:12426353, PubMed:14702328).

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Hydrogenase-4 transcriptional activator (hyfR), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
