NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Plays an essential role in virion nuclear egress, the first step of virion release from infected cell. Within the host nucleus, NEC1 interacts with the newly formed capsid through the vertexes and directs it to the inner nuclear membrane by associating with NEC2. Induces the budding of the capsid at the inner nuclear membrane as well as its envelopment into the perinuclear space. There, the NEC1/NEC2 complex promotes the fusion of the enveloped capsid with the outer nuclear membrane and the subsequent release of the viral capsid into the cytoplasm where it will reach the secondary budding sites in the host Golgi or trans-Golgi network.

Product Notes
The ORF26 26 (Catalog #AAA7037611) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Cell Free Expression and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-275aa; full length protein. This is a recombinant transmembrane protein expressed in a cell-free expression system. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ORF26 26 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MDSYNYRDFA VGGGLLQRIR LVVSGSLHCG ESDATLNDPK HLPARCVFQF SGPDNNSVTF PIEYVLRLMK NWARSQCDPY IRIQNTGVSV LFQGFFFAPP NAPMASITSE HNNVILKSTH TTGLALSGIE RVKRGGGLDL RPLQAMMQIS CFTRMPVVQL SFRFMGPEDA SRTQRLLERA TSFGAMELHQ KRTVDSCDRS NGIVSPREHR ECRERQKRRP TPKRCASEVF ASLASISSAF ASERVKRRPV RIAAAILAFV FVAVILAIAT KGRLF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Virion egress protein 26, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
