NCBI Description

ESPR1 is an epithelial cell-type-specific splicing regulator (Warzecha et al., 2009 [PubMed 19285943]).[supplied by OMIM, Aug 2009]

Uniprot Description

RBM35A: mRNA splicing factor that regulates the formation of epithelial cell-specific isoforms. Specifically regulates the expression of FGFR2-IIIb, an epithelial cell-specific isoform of FGFR2. Also regulates the splicing of CD44, CTNND1, ENAH, 3 transcripts that undergo changes in splicing during the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Acts by directly binding specific sequences in mRNAs. Binds the GU-rich sequence motifs in the ISE/ISS-3, a cis-element regulatory region present in the mRNA of FGFR2. Belongs to the ESRP family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA processing

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q22.1

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: mRNA binding; nucleotide binding

Product Notes

The ESRP1 esrp1 (Catalog #AAA8554562) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ESRP1 (N-Term) Rabbit pAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ESRP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:2000 IHC: 1:25. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ESRP1 esrp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ESRP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
