NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and is most closely related to mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAP kinases). MAP kinases also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), are activated through protein phosphorylation cascades and act as integration points for multiple biochemical signals. This kinase is localized in the nucleus, and has been reported to be activated in fibroblasts upon treatment with serum or phorbol esters. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ERK3: a protein kinase of the MAPK family. Plays a critical role in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. Localized in the nucleus, and has been reported to be activated in fibroblasts upon treatment with serum or phorbol esters.

Product Notes

The Human, Mouse, Rat ERK3 mapk6 (Catalog #AAA9501298) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9501298 ELISA Kit recognizes Human, Mouse, Rat ERK3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ERK3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
