Preparation
Prepared by subtilisin proteolysis of DNA Polymerase I, retaining the 5' -3' polymerase and the 3'-5' exonuclease cayalytic activities of the native enzyme but lacks the 5' -3' exonuclease activity.

Preparation and Storage
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
