Directions for Use
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 mug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized protein should be stored at -20 degree C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8 degree C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at -20 degree C for 3 months.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cell-surface glycoprotein and type I membrane protein that was originally identified as a myeloid cell-specific marker. The encoded protein was once thought to be a receptor for C1q, but now is thought to instead be involved in intercellular adhesion and in the clearance of apoptotic cells. The intracellular cytoplasmic tail of this protein has been found to interact with moesin, a protein known to play a role in linking transmembrane proteins to the cytoskeleton and in the remodelling of the cytoskeleton. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CD93: Receptor (or element of a larger receptor complex) for C1q, mannose-binding lectin (MBL2) and pulmonary surfactant protein A (SPA). May mediate the enhancement of phagocytosis in monocytes and macrophages upon interaction with soluble defense collagens. May play a role in intercellular adhesion.

Protein type: Cell adhesion; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20p11.21

Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: complement component C1q binding; protein binding

Biological Process: cell-cell adhesion

Product Notes

The CD93 cd93 (Catalog #AAA8248743) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Human CD93 Protein reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD93 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA),Western Blot (WB), SDS-PAGE, Mass Spectrometry (MS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD93 cd93 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: ADTEAVVCVG TACYTAHSGK LSAAEAQNHC NQNGGNLATV KSKEEAQHVQ RVLAQLLRRE AALTARMSKF WIGLQREKGK CLDPSLPLKG FSWVGGGEDT PYSNWHKELR NSCISKRCVS LLLDLSQPLL PSRLPKWSEG PCGSPGSPGS NIEGFVCKFS FKGMCRPLAL GGPGQVTYTT PFQTTSSSLE AVPFASAANV ACGEGDKDET QSHYFLCKEK APDVFDWGSS GPLCVSPKYG CNFNNGGCHQ DCFEGGDGSF LCGCRPGFRL LDDLVTCASR NPCSSSPCRG GATCVLGPHG KNYTCRCPQG YQLDSSQLDC VDVDECQDSP CAQECVNTPG GFRCECWVGY EPGGPGEGAC QDVDECALGR SPCAQGCTNT DGSFHCSCEE GYVLAGEDGT QCQDVDECVG PGGPLCDSLC FNTQGSFHCG CLPGWVLAPN GVSCTMGPVS LGPPSGPPDE EDKGEKEGST VPRAATASPT RGPEGTPKAT PTTSRPSLSS DAPITSAPLK MLAPSGSPGV WREPSIHHAT AASGPQEPAG GDSSVATQNN DGTDGQKVDH HHHHH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD93, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
