Adenylyl cyclase-associated protein 1 (Cap1) Recombinant Protein | Cap1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Mouse Adenylyl cyclase-associated protein 1 (Cap1)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The product of this gene plays a role in regulating actin dynamics by binding actin monomers and promoting the turnover of actin filaments. Reduced expression of this gene causes a reduction in actin filament turnover rates, causing multiple defects, including an increase in cell size, stress-fiber alterations, and defects in endocytosis and cell motility. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 14. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, but does not affect the protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Uniprot Description
Directly regulates filament dynamics and has been implicated in a number of complex developmental and morphological processes, including mRNA localization and the establishment of cell polarity.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Adenylyl cyclase-associated protein 1 (Cap1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
