Target Description: MAP3K2 is a component of a protein kinase signal transduction cascade. It regulates the JNK and ERK5 pathways by phosphorylating and activating MAP2K5 and MAP2K7. It also plays a role in caveolae kiss-and-run dynamics. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of serine/threonine protein kinase family. This kinase preferentially activates other kinases involved in the MAP kinase signaling pathway. This kinase has been shown to directly phosphorylate and activate Ikappa B kinases, and thus plays a role in NF-kappa B signaling pathway. This kinase has also been found to bind and activate protein kinase C-related kinase 2, which suggests its involvement in a regulated signaling process. Product Notes

The MAP3K2 map3k2 (Catalog #AAA3234331) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's MAP3K2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAP3K2 map3k2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAP3K2, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
