Uniprot Description
USP22: Histone deubiquitinating component of the transcription regulatory histone acetylation (HAT) complex SAGA. Catalyzes the deubiquitination of both histones H2A and H2B, thereby acting as a coactivator. Recruited to specific gene promoters by activators such as MYC, where it is required for transcription. Required for nuclear receptor-mediated transactivation and cell cycle progression. Belongs to the peptidase C19 family. UBP8 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system; Cell cycle regulation; Transcription, coactivator/corepressor; Protease; EC 3.4.19.12; Ubiquitin-specific protease; Nuclear receptor co-regulator
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p11.2
Molecular Function: H4 histone acetyltransferase activity; protein binding; enzyme binding; ligand-dependent nuclear receptor transcription coactivator activity; zinc ion binding; cysteine-type endopeptidase activity; ubiquitin-specific protease activity; transcription coactivator activity
Biological Process: proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; establishment and/or maintenance of chromatin architecture; embryonic development; protein deubiquitination; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; histone ubiquitination; cell cycle; positive regulation of mitotic cell cycle; histone deubiquitination
Product Notes
The USP22 usp22 (Catalog #
AAA9401755) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's USP22 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:20000-1:80000 WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the USP22 usp22 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"USP22, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
