The activity is determined by the time required (in seconds) for a saturated CO2 solution to lower the pH of 0.02M Tris• HCl buffer form 8.3 to 6.3 at 0ºC.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C. Stable for 12 months at 4 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
