Related Product Information for Ict1 recombinant protein
The adult colon epithelium contains 3 differentiated cell types that arise from a multipotent stem cell. Deviation from the normal maturation pathway by neoplastic transformation is thought to initiate in stem cells or their early descendants. One potential marker is ICT1 whose mRNA and protein were more highly expressed in undifferentiated than in differentiated cells.

Uniprot Description

Essential peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase component of the mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit (PubMed:20869366). Acts as a codon-independent translation release factor that has lost all stop codon specificity and directs the termination of translation in mitochondrion, possibly in case of abortive elongation. May be involved in the hydrolysis of peptidyl-tRNAs that have been prematurely terminated and thus in the recycling of stalled mitochondrial ribosomes ().

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase ICT1, mitochondrial (Ict1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
