NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Encodes a Toll Interleukin1 receptor-nucleotide binding-Leu- rich repeat-type resistance gene (TIR-NB-LRR-type) involved in the salicylic acid-dependent defense response pathway. Mutant plants constitutively express pathogenesis-related (PR) genes and are pathogen resistant. Resistance signaling in snc1 requires EDS1, MOS3 and PAD4.
Uniprot Description
Disease resistance protein of the TIR-NB-LRR-type. Part of the RPP5 locus that contains a cluster of several paralogous disease resistance (R) genes. Resistance proteins guard the plant against pathogens that contain an appropriate avirulence protein via an indirect interaction with this avirulence protein. That triggers a defense system including the hypersensitive response, which restricts the pathogen growth. Regulated by RNA silencing. Expression regulated by MOS1 at chromatin level. Negatively regulated at the transcript level by BON1. Nuclear localization of SNC1 is essential for its activity (PubMed:22454454). ABA deficiency can rescue high-temperature inhibition of SNC1-mediated defense responses (PubMed:22454454).

Product Notes
The SNC1 snc1 (Catalog #AAA1158017) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli or Yeast or Baculovirus or Mammalian Cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Protein SUPPRESSOR OF npr1-1, CONSTITUTIVE 1 (SNC1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
